• Welcome to Heartland Bible Institute

    Heartland Bible Institute is a four year course of study to prepare men and women to serve the Lord Jesus Christ at the highest level.
    The training is conducted by current pastors of Heartland Baptist Fellowship who have a combined 100 years in the ministry.
    The courses are theological, doctrinal, and practical and ensure the student has all they need to lead ministry, plant a church or serve on the global mission field.

This course is designed to prepare students to serve as Biblical counselors to assist anyone suffering from the affects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD. The course is a prerequisite to certification under the national leadership of Armed Forces Baptist Mission and the Wounded Spirits PTSD Ministry.

In order to enroll in this course you must first complete the course Registration form. Once that is complete you will be sent a enrollment key that will allow you to enter the course.

There is a time limit on completing course and submitting the assessment test.

A study of the earthly ministry of our Lord as revealed in a harmony of the four gospels. Special emphasis is placed on the ministry relevance of Christ's message and miracles.

A study of Paul’s life investigating the model of Christian character as seen from the Christian leader who is completely serving our Lord. Special emphasis is placed on the relevance of Paul’s missionary journeys.

A study of the earthly ministry of our Lord as revealed in a harmony of the four gospels. Special emphasis is placed on the ministry relevance of Christ's message and miracles.

An introduction to the methods and techniques of Bible study including principles of study, types of studies, and the tools of study in order to develop in the student the ability to uncover the richness of the Word of God.


A study of the vindication of the authorized version of the English Bible against various modern translations. An evidential approach to textual criticism is presented providing a relevant defense of the King James Bible as the Word of God.

This course focuses on enriching (enhance, add beauty, improve, make more fertile, perfect, refine) marriages through solid teaching and instruction out of God's Word, as well as participation from each student.


Meeting the needs of the whole family is emphasized in this course. Areas covered include methods and practices that communicate God’s special people group known as the family including how to connect all aspects of family including boundaries and blessings of family.

Youth ministry ranges from nursery up through the completion of high school. How the various aspects of youth ministry are handled are discussed. The unique nature of ministering to children is considered as well as planning and conducting youth conferences, camps, and year round activities.

Learn to Navigate the New Website

The HBI website has a new look and feel. The base of all courses are still built in the same fashion but there are differences.

When you log in, you land on your "Home page" which used to be called the Front page. There are blue buttons in the middle of the screen.  Click on the dashboard button and look at the contents on that page especially the Time line block which will notify you of any pending tasks like assignments or quizzes.

On the right hand side is the next upcoming events. This block will assist you to prepare to use your time effectively.

On the top left corner are three buttons. The first button, opens your Navigation Drawer which is another way to navigate between main pages.  The middle button "hbi-online" takes you back to your home page.  The "My classes" button allows you to choose from your enrolled courses.

Once inside a course, an additional button, "This Course" will allow you to quickly navigate to specific sections of the course.

There is a blue gear button, "Course Dashboard", which allows students to administer certain activities of their course work such as; Assignments, Forums, Quizzes, etc.
